"You know you are providing value, when your customers call you back for more work and refer you to others".

Tool Time charges by the hour.

We have a $150 minimum charge which provides up to one hour of Services.  There after, the hourly rate is $95.  We can provide estimates over the phone for smaller jobs and for larger jobs we can come out and review your requirements and then provide an estimate.  We charge $59 for an in person estimate.  The estimate charge is refunded if you select us to do the job.

Our rates our very competitive with other licensed and insured Contractors. We carry $1,000,000 in liability insurance, workmen's compensation insurance, $12,500 Surety Bond and we have a General Contractors license #880137.

Why is liability insurance important? It protects you in the event that the handyman causes damage to your house while making repairs or improvements.

Why is workmen's compensation insurance important? It protects you in the event that the worker gets hurt on the job or "stages" an injury on your property.  Workmen's compensation handles the claim or permanent disability, not you.

Why is a contractor’s license important? By state law a handyman without a contractor’s license cannot perform jobs greater than $500 including the cost of the materials.  A handyman without a contractor’s license cannot get liability insurance to cover jobs that are greater than $500. If an unlicensed handyman causes damage to your house, your insurance company will not cover the repair costs if they can prove that the individual that made the repairs was unlicensed or the repairs exceeded $500.

Why is a bond important?  It protects you incase the contractor walks off the job, doesn't do a proper job or never shows up again to finish a job.  You can draw against the $12,500 Surety bond to get the job finished or corrected.

While it may seem attractive to hire an unlicensed and uninsured handyman because of the lower rate, the risks far outweigh the benefits.

Tool Time accepts personal checks, Visa, Master Card, American Express, Discover and PayPal.
